TO ARMS ET CAETERA
France-Montélimar 19/02/2020 ..Blurred portrait of Aurélien..A former dog handler with the 132nd Army EDD Infantry Regiment in Suippes, Aurélien has been on long-term leave for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) since a four-month mission in the Central African Republic in 2015. .."The last month we lived through hell and hell is still paradise. My return to France didn't go as I had planned and it took me a very long time, not far from four years, to rehabilitate myself to everyday life..My life has completely changed. I am no longer the same, I can no longer sleep, I am afraid of the dark, of the crowd and today I even fear death for my children, my wife, my relatives and above all I have the feeling of a mission unfulfilled, a feeling of failure. I questioned myself, to the point of telling myself that I had to disappear, that I had to put my life in jeopardy. Without the right accompaniment, I would have gone all the way".
